The Lady Lancer tennis team opened its 2016 season by winning three of four matches. The girls defeated Mt. St. Dominic, Verona, and Montclair before losing to Westfield.

Freshman Emma Conforti scored the Lancers' only singles point, winning at second singles, and the team won both doubles matches. Alicia Li, Pujan Neopane, Vivian Lin, and Winnie Zhu swept the doubles in straight sets, while Mt. St. Dominic’s Faith Scrivo defeated Nicole Bazhenov, 6-4,6-4, at first singles and Quinn Dunnigan of Mt. St. Dominic defeated Brielle Schwartz, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1, at third singles.
