The Livingston High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed in the Group 4, North 1 Sectional Championship, held this past Saturday at Garrett Mountain in Woodland Park. This marked the first step in the threetier state championship tournament, explained coach Dave Czeizinger. A top five team finish is required for a team to advance, and a top ten spot earns individuals a qualifying berth in the second round, the Group State Championship. Although neither Lancer squad finished in the top five, two individual harriers – Nahshon Robinson and Erin Chang – qualified as individuals and will head to Holmdel Park this weekend to compete in the Group State Championship.
