Services Held For Dr. Steinberg

Dr. Burton Steinberg, 96, of Livingston, died on Tuesday, March 26.

Born on June 15, 1927 in Newark, Dr. Steinberg served in WWII, before earning an undergraduate degree from Rutgers in 1949 and a DDS in Dentistry from Northwestern University in 1953. He became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1982. He was a family dentist for decades with practices in Essex and Union counties.

He is survived by daughters, Joan Spiegel (Danny), Gail Belsik (Nicole Richardson), and Karen Hollander; Dr. Steinberg is also survived by his five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Teri Steinberg; his sons Robert Steinberg and Jeffrey Belsik; his sister; and his son-in-law.

Services were held on Thursday, March 28 at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Dr. Steinberg be made to Barnabas Health Home Care and Hospice, 80 Main Street, West Orange NJ 07052.
