The Livingston Police Department reported another rash of motor vehicle-related crimes that occurred in the last seven days, including three vehicles stolen and multiple instances involving criminals illegally entering unlocked vehicles. On Monday, August 22, at 3:22 a.m., police found a suspicious vehicle parked on Brown Court. Officers determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Newark at 1:48 a.m. that morning. Following an investigation, officials found that two cars, a BMW and an Audi, had been stolen out of a driveway on Brown Court. Police officials noted that keys were left in the Audi. The suspects used the garage remote found in the Audi to enter the garage, where they found and stole the BMW.
