Former Livingston resident Lore H. Weiss died January 3 at the age of 84.
Born in Ostelsheim, Germany, on September 24, 1938, she came to America at the age of 17 and became a citizen.
She resided in Union, Livingston, Gillette and most recently in Lakewood.
Predeceased by her sister, Elwira Weiss, she is survived by her brothers, Erwin and Werner Weiss; her sister, Gerda Weiss; her children, Susan (Don) Julich and Michael (Chrissy) Kiesewetter; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ms. Weiss was a member of the German singing society, the Schwaebischer Saengerbund of Newark, for 50 years.
The family has suggested that donations in her memory be made to either the Grace Healthcare Services hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association Greater, New Jersey Chapter.
Cremation will be handled by the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, and her family will hold a private service to spread her ashes.
