Livingston will hold its annual “Pick It Up!” community clean-up day on Saturday, May 13, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Pick It Up will offer a safe, fun way for residents to help keep Livingston beautiful by clearing litter from designated outdoor spaces. Volunteers can also earn community service hours for their participation.

Participants must sign up online, either as individuals or with a group, to volunteer to pick up and sort trash and recyclables at one of 11 specific clean-up areas. Location team leaders will advise volunteers on additional details and provide clean-up supplies.

The eleven clean-up locations are: West Hobart Gap Road; East Hobart Gap Road (JFK start or Canoe Brook start); Northfield Road at the Kiwanis entrance; South Livingston Avenue (across from St. Philomena’s Church); Laurel Avenue in Prospect Park; Foxcroft Drive at Heritage Middle School; Beaufort Avenue; Shrewsbury Avenue in East Hills Park; Fordham Road Park (behind Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center); the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue; and the north side of South Orange Avenue, between Canoe Brook and South Livingston Avenue.

Location team leaders will provide instructions in advance about where to park near the clean-up area and where to meet the group.

Each participating volunteer must pre-register using the SignUpGenius page, which can be found at either bit.ly/41aBmQC or through the township website calendar at www. livingstonnj.org. Residents can call 862-223-8566 or email pickituplivingston@ gmail.com with any questions.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while cleaning up at all designated locations. Parking and meet-up area instructions for each location will be provided when available.
