ELY CEMETERY
ELY CEMETERY

ELY CEMETERY: Livingston Historical Society encourages the public to visit the Ely Cemetery on Memorial Day, May 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. The cemetery was first created in 1777 by William Ely, who was a veteran of the French and Indian War, and who owned a large swath of land in Livingston. The Livingston Historical Society, with the help of the Public Works Department, has helped to repair and refurbish the cemetery for visitation. Shown here are cemetery docents from the Livingston Historical Society: former recording secretary, Arlene Newcomb; acting co-president Jake Ferrans; former president, Renee Resky; and member, Gabriel Kovac.
