Pleasant Avenue to June 20. The complex will be developed in three buildings, along with a clubhouse and related site improvements.

When the Mount Pleasant Partners, LLC matter was last heard on April 18, the Board listened to Laurence Appel describe the complex’s clubhouse, as well as testimony from engineer Michael Lanzafama and traffic engineer Gary Dean. At that time, the Board members ultimately decided to postpone their vote on the application to a future date.

South Orange Ave. Housing At the Planning Board’s conference meeting, the Board approved a memorializing resolution for Livingston Corporate Park, LLC. The action gives final approval to the applicant’s plan to demolish an existing office building at 220 South Orange Avenue and redevelop the site - located adjacent to the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center and the Regency Club-with a four-story, 166 unit multi-family residential rental complex.

As a condition of the initial application approval, granted in June of 2021, the Planning Board mandated that the applicant present its finalized courtyard plan for approval as well. That plan was presented and approved at the Board’s May 2, 2023 meeting.

Additionally, the Board voted to approve the hiring of a water/sewer expert for an upcoming application by East McClellan Avenue, LLC.

It also reviewed conceptual drawings for two modular units at Burnet Hill Elementary School and Hillside Elementary School. Burnet Hill’s unit will be used for classrooms, while Hillside’s will provide other programming uses.
