Livingston Police officers recovered a BMW that was stolen after it had been left unlocked with the key fobs inside of it.
At 9:08 a.m. on Friday, June 23, Livingston officers responded to a Pebble Beach Drive residence on a report of a stolen vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers met with a woman who said that her 2020 Audi A5 had been stolen sometime in the overnight hours.
The vehicle was recovered later that night in East Orange. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the matter.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is also investigating a reported burglary which occurred in town last week.
At 3:46 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, Livingston officers responded to a Homestead Terrace home on a report of a burglary to the residence.
Upon arrival, officers were met by the homeowners, who came home to find the bedrooms of the residence had been ransacked with unknown proceeds stolen. Entry had been made through a rear window to the home.
