INDEPENDENCE DAY: Livingston celebrated July 4th in a big way with many daytime activities, and a spectacular nighttime fireworks display. At top left, an employee of Garden State Fireworks covers up fireworks with a plastic tarp. The U.S. Weather Bureau radar indicated a thunder cell was going to hit the area at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, however, that never transpired. There was, however, a quick thunderstorm at around 1:30 p.m. Above, many residents turned out to enjoy the fireworks. Additional photos of the July 4 festivities may be seen in next week’s issue of the Tribune.
