LPI Summer “Business” is Brisk

By Jeff Friedman
Editor’s Note: This week, Jeff Friedman, founder and CEO of Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), explains, in his own words, what the organization’s philanthropy work looks like in the summer.

Summer “business” is brisk at Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI). That’s a good thing, because as mentioned last week, “Needing Season” runs for 12 months every year. And getting worse every year, too.
It’s important to mention that Livingston’s generous donations of new and gently used family clothing and footwear are generally of the highest quality, prepared with care and in extremely good condition. The garments are delivered to LPI World Headquarters (my garage) as requested…on hangers from the closet or cleaners or neatly folded into boxes and bags.
Elise Austin, respected director of the Clothing Boutique at LPI founding distribution partner, Newark’s Willing Heart Community Care Center (WHCCC) said it clearly: “Not too much of what we receive is as nice as this, and beautifully presented, too. Thank you LPI and Livingston.”
Please send me an email at [email protected] for my LPI World Headquarters Livingston drop-off address. Or empower our volunteers to shop for families living below the poverty line by visiting njhomeless.org or paypal.me/njhomeless. This week is LPI’s monthly, fresh produce and fruit purchase. Contributions really matter. Thank you, Livingston friends and supporters.
