The Livingston Police Department is investigating several burglaries that occurred last week to unlocked vehicles.
At 1:02 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, officers respondedto aThames Drive home on a report of three vehicles that were entered in the overnight hours.
Upon arrival, officers met with the homeowner, who had noticed items strewn about one of their vehicles upon entering it in the morning. This prompted them to check surveillance video, which showed an unknown suspect entering the three unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway, a 2021 BMW, a 2019 Genesis, and a 2021 Nissan.
Nothing was missing from the vehicles.
Later that evening, at 9:58 p.m., officers respondedto a Chelsea Drive home on another report of a burglary to a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers were met by the homeowner who said that he had noticed that items were misplaced in his vehicle which led him to discover his unlocked 2021 Cadillac had been entered in the overnight hours and a laptop and garage door opener were stolen.
Two days later, at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, officers responded to a Crestview Hill Road home on a report of a burglary to a vehicle.
Officers arrived and met with a neighbor, who witnessed the suspect pull up in front of the house, enter the victims unlocked 2023 BMW, and then retreat to the waiting suspect vehicle.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating all three incidents.
