JUNIOR POLICE: The Livingston Police Department recently completed its annual Junior Police Academy. The program was open to rising sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Highlights of the week included meeting the Newark Police Department’s Mounted Unit; a demonstration from the NJ State Police Polygraph Unit; riding with the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police on the Hudson River; a presentation by the NJ State Corrections K9 Unit; a field trip to Port Authority Police Department at Newark Airport; spending the afternoon with the Livingston Fire Department; and presentations by various units of the Livingston Police Department.
