Unlocked Porsche Stolen from Home

Livingston Police Officers are investigating the theft of a luxury vehicle, which was left unlocked with the key inside of it at the time it was stolen, Livingston Police said.

At 6:24 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, officers responded to a Pebble Beach Drive home on a report of a stolen vehicle.

Upon arrival officers met with the homeowner who said that their 2021 Porsche Cayenne was stolen from the driveway sometime in the overnight hours. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the key fob inside.

A short while later, the vehicle was recoveredin Orange. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the matter.

In an unrelated matter, Livingston Police recovered a stolen van outside of a township store last week.

At 1:02 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, officers responded to the parking lot of Staples on West Mt. Pleasant Avenue on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Upon arrival, store staff led them to the loading dock area, where a 1996 Ford Econoline van was parked.

An investigation revealed that the van had been stolen out of New York City several days earlier. The matter is under investigation by the Livingston Detective Bureau.
