Before the end of the school year, Heritage Middle School students competed in the New Jersey State Technology Student Association Conference at the College of New Jersey.
Forty-seven students attended. They were accompanied by technology teachers Ken Zushma and Jim Novotny.
The following students came in first place: Theresa Campbell and Krisha Tiwari in “Forensic Technology;” Change Ma,Anya Shukla, and Preethi Sivaraju in “Mechanical Engineering;” Adam Finkelstein, Oliva Huang, Jack Klein, Eli Kushner, Swetan Sinha and Daniel Zhang in “Off the Grid;” and Jesse Feldman, Siddhanth Ganesh, and Hunter Shangold in “Video Game Design.” Taking second place were Advik Tyagi in “Career Prep;” Jesse Feldman and Hunter Shangold in “Electrical Applications;” Jagger Feiner in “Flight;” Pedro Santiago in “Foundations of Information Technology;” Sean Amin, Vikas Iyer, Tanush Pisal, andArjun Rajiv in “Junior Solar Sprint;” HansikaAkula and Lauren D’Costa in “Leadership Strategies;” and Amelia Bonilla, Matthew Handler, Ethan Scheckman, and Amisha Sethi in “Medical Technology.”
Several students also came in third place: Theresa Campbell for “Digital Photography;” Jonathan Vizcarra for “Flight;” Claire Cheng, Yilin Wei, Chloe Xiao, and Anna Zhu in “Leadership Strategies;” Ava Shah for “Prepared Speech;” and Aarna Garg and Tanya Shah in “Structural Engineering.”
