Julio Litovsky, of Aventura, Florida, formerly of Livingston, died on August 10. He was 94.
Bom and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina he immigrated with his wife and two small children to the United States in 1960.
Mr. Litovsky was the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance for many years at Schering-Plough (now Merck & Co.) in Kenilworth.
Previously, he started his career at the Union campus, later moving to the Bloomfield campus and then to Kenilworth when that campus was completed.
Together with his wife, Clara, in 1973 they opened a school for special needs students in Bloomfield.
Mr. Litovsky served as a founding member and treasurer of the Board of Trustees for Westbridge Academy (formerly Child Development Center) and served as a trustee for many years.
He was the husband of Clara Litovsky for 66 years until her death last July; father of Daniel (Lisa) Litovsky and Viviana Litovsky-Green (Thomas); brother of the late Israel Litovsky, and B erta (Litovsky) Pipman; and was a grandfather.
Graveside services will be held in Hollywood, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Mr. Litovsky to Westbridge Academy, 60 West Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003, www.westbridgeacademy.org.
