“Americana” Ticket Purchases Empower Livingston Philanthropies Purchases

Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), in partnership with the West Essex Tribune and in association with the PCL Performing Arts Center will present its next big fundraising show one week from this Saturday night, October 14, at 7 p.m. Below, in his own words, LPI founder Jeff Friedman details the event.

“Dave Rimelis’ Americana” Country, Bluegrass and Cajun show is coming to town, when the Presbyterian Church of Livingston becomes the PCL Performing Arts Center for the evening.
For folks who like acoustic music performed by seasoned players, this is the concert to attend. Dave will handle the fiddling, vocals and guitar work, while his band will play banjo, guitar, bass, and drums. I will also allude to a special guest star performer.
But our live performance is much more than just a cool show. It’s about empowering LPI volunteers to purchase life-sustaining items for families living below the poverty line and those existing out on the streets. Every ticket purchased for a tax-deductible contribution of $40 is allocated to the purchase of family winter gloves, adult winter beanies, cases of women’s sanitary products, fresh produce and fruit and more.
Why not enjoy a hot performance while providing tangible and immediate help for profoundly poor families? The situation is beyond untenable after COVID and now during inflation.
Tax-deductible tickets are available at njhomeless.org, the offices of the West Essex Tribune and the Presbyterian Church of Livingston.

(NJRC) clients; formerly incarcerated citizens as the final step in securing employment.  Recently, LPI’s vice president and volunteer, Karen Friedman, delivered steel-toed boots, socks, dress shirts and slacks required by employers to begin immediate work.
