Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), partnering with Livingston’s West Essex Tribune and in association with the Presbyterian Church of Livingston’s PCL Performing Arts Center, has announced that a nationally-known guest singer has been booked for Saturday night’s “Dave Rimelis’ Americana” performance. The all-acoustic show will feature Rimelis and his band performing country, bluegrass and Cajun music live on-stage at 7 p.m.
“Brynn Stanley has been charming audiences on both coasts, from New Jersey to Los Angeles, honing her smooth, silky voice,” Livingston Philanthropies founder Jeff Friedman said. “Audiences and critics have raved about her vocal virtuosity, a unique blend of classic vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee with contemporary stars like Norah Jones and Diana Krall.”
Stanley has performed in and around New York and Los Angeles, at the Chateau Marmot, Vitello’s Jazz and Supper Club, Herb Alpert’s Vibrato’s, and Shanghai Jazz. She continues to garner strong reviews from press, band mates, bandleaders and concert promoters.
LPI’s mission is to provide for families living below the poverty line and citizens literally existing out on the streets. The funding generated from this one-time-only very special performance will empower LPI to purchase basic, life-sustaining items, fresh produce, fruit, diapers, winter gloves and more to service these vulnerable constituencies.
“Why not come on out for a rockin’ and early Saturday evening, while providing help for those who need it the most?” Friedman said.
“Dave Rimelis’s Americana,” will be held this Saturday night, October 14, at the Presbyterian Church of Livingston, located at 271 West Northfield Road. The church will transform into the PCL Performing Arts Center for the evening.
Tickets are available at njhomeless.org, the Tribune office, church offices, and at the door on Saturday night for the same tax-deductible contribution.
