Barry Wiener, 85, died at his home on Monday, January 30. Wiener was born and raised in Trenton, and had lived in Livingston for the past 50 years.
After graduating from Rider University in 1959, Mr. Wiener joined the U.S. Army and became the company clerk as a corporal. He then went on to work in business management and became a regional manager for Channel Lumber.
Mr. Wiener was the husband of Rosie for over 58 years and father of Dori (Chuck) Hamill as well as his late son, Michael. He was also the brother of Lawrence Wiener.
Mr. Wiener was a member of Temple Beth Shalom and the Temple Beth Shalom Men’s Club, and a former member of the West Orange Knights of Pythias.
A funeral service will be held today, Thursday, February 2, at 9:00 a.m. at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at Workers of Truth Cemetery, Hamilton.
