Josephine E. Moltedo, née Battiato, of Livingston, formerly of Cedar Grove, died Friday, January 27. She was 99 years old.
Born in Newark,she was raised in Irvington, and resided in Cedar Grove for 60 years prior to settling in Livingston three years ago.
Mrs. Moltedo was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Roman CatholicChurchinCedarGrove. She was a member of the Gregory Club in Irvington and the Woman’s Club in C edar Grove, and was a volunteer with the Knights of Columbus in which her late husband, Albert, was a member.
Prior to retiring, she was a customer service representative with Public Service Electric and Gas in Newark for many years.
Predeceased by her husband, Albert, and her brother, Matthew Battiato, she is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Mutone and Mary Joan Robertson.
A funeral Mass was offered Tuesday, January 31, at St. Raphael Roman C atholic Church, Livingston, followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
