Ronald F. Murano, 76, of Parsippany, passed away on Saturday, March 16. Ron grew up in Bloomfield, and then lived in Livingston from 1977 -2022 and then resided in Parsippany. Ron loved to provide, tease, and care for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, PopPop, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He was a loyal and dedicated employee at his places of work: General Electric for 26 years, Pirelli Cable for another 25 years and then became a consultant until retirement in 2017. Ron’s love of all animals was like no other always feeding and befriending the wild animals around Livingston and Parsippany (which drove his wife crazy). Ron was always on the move, whether it be playing sports (softball, basketball and tennis), partying, playing with his kids and grandkids or dancing. His athletic pursuits also included watching and coaching his children’s sports teams and watching anything with the Tennessee Vols. Ron enjoyed the retired life wearing fedoras around town and shopping at Uncle Giuseppe’s weekly, just living his best life. If you asked him, he claims he was the one that brought the love of his newest obsession, pickleball, into the mainstream.

Ron is survived by his loving and patient wife of 49 years Lynne, his son Chris (Amy), and his daughter Jillian (Darell). He was a loving grandfather to Kylie, Alexa and Mikaela. He was the oldest brother of the Murano boys, survived by Frank, Joe, wife Maryanne, along with his in-laws Joan, Mary, Marc, Jimmy, and Debbie. He was the uncle to his Godson Korey, Kerry (Evan), Kate (Chris), Kristie (Chris) and Melissa (Larry). Great-uncle to Andrew, Sean, Kevin, Luke, Julia, Jack, Sara, James, Emily, Lawrence,Ayla, and Grayson. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anne Murano and in-laws Barney and Joan Garry and sadly brother-inlaw Kenneth Garry.

A memorial visitation for Ron was held on Saturday, March 23 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Animal Welfare Association.
