All Livingston Township offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day. All offices will reopen duringregular business hours on Tuesday, May 28.
Annual Ceremony and Parade
The Livingston Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 27, and travels from the Oval north on South Livingston Avenue, eventually crossing through Livingston Center and continuing along North Livingston Avenue to Congressional Parkway.
The commemorative ceremony honoring those who have died defending the United States will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Oval. This will be followed by the parade at 10 a.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held indoors, in the Livingston High School auditorium.
No Garbage or Recycling
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. Garbage will be collected on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Thursday, May 30.
There will also be no regular commingled recycling pickup on Monday, May 27, and collection will move one day later for the rest of the week.
There will be no metal recycling pickup on Friday, May 24. Metal recycling pickup will resume on Friday, May 31. Residents are encouraged to register by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.
Residents are reminded that the metal pickup request form will not be available the week of May 20 through 24.
