Boys’ Varsity Tennis Season Ends With a Record of 15 Wins, 12 Losses

The Livingston High School varsity tennis team completed its season with a 15-12 record. First and second singles players Dennis Wang and Dhruv Anantaraman competed in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’s (NJSIAA) Singles Tournament.

The Livingston High School varsity tennis team completed its season with a 15-12 record. First and second singles players Dennis Wang and Dhruv Anantaraman competed in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’s (NJSIAA) Singles Tournament.

Sophomore Anantaraman won his first match but lost in the second round. Anantaraman compiled a 17-4 record in second singles, which included two matches at first singles in the singles tournament. Wang, a freshman, won three matches in the singles tournament before losing to Archit Yemula of Ridge High School, 5-7, 4-6, in a competitive match. Wang had an 18-9 first singles record.

Anantaraman and Wang earned First Team, Super Essex Conference Tennis Team Honors. Seniors Jacob Goldstein and Jake Hershkin were selected to Second Team Super Essex Conference Team Honors. Goldstein, Hershkin, and Dylan Tovitz were the 2024 tennis team captains.

This season, the individual records are as follows: Dhruv Anantaraman completed the season with a singles record of 17-4.

Arjun Bansal ended the 2024 season with an 11-12 record, made up of 1-4 in singles and 10-8 in doubles.

Jacob Goldstein finished the season with a record of 11-12.

Jake Hershkin’s end of season record stands at 14-12.

Jared Melamed completed the season with a 10-12 record, 2-3 in singles and 8-9 in doubles.

Dylan Tovitz’s record stands at 9-5, composed of a singles record of 0-1 and 9-4 in doubles.

Julian Turovets finished this season with a record of 10-15. He went 0-4 in first singles, 1-3 in second singles, and 9-8 in third singles.

Dennis Wang completed this season with a singles record of 18-9.

Christopher Liao earned a record of 3-2 this season.

Advaith Pillai’s end of season record stands at 2-1.

Jordan Bender completed the season with a 2-0 record.

Ryan Enzig finished with a 2-1 record.

Joshua Kim’s end of season record was 1-0.
