Three Home Burglaries, Two Stolen Cars Reported

Manor Road

At 4:24 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, officers responded to a Manor Road home on a report of a burglary to the residence.

When officers arrived, the homeowner said that they were awoken by a loud noise, and when they checked their video surveillance, they saw three suspects attempting to gain entry to their home via a ground level window. Prior to attempting to enter the residence, the suspects were seen pulling on the door handles of the vehicles in the driveway The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Etlgemere Road

At midnight on Thursday, June 20, officers responded to an Edgemere Road home on a report of a burglary to the residence.

When officers arrived, the homeowner said that when they returned home, they observed the front door deadbolt was unsecured and multiple rooms in the residence were ransacked.

It is unknown at press time what was taken from the residence.

Shrewsbury Drive

At 4:56 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, officers responded to a Shrewsbury Drive home on a report of an activated burglar alarm at the residence.

When officers arrived, they observed an unsecured rear basement slider. Officers then made contact with the homeowners, who stated that (Continued on Page A-8) when the alarm went off, they heard someone in the basement.

A further investigation revealed that the suspect or suspects had stolen a 2023 Mercedes-Benz G36 from the home. The stolen vehicle was later located, unoccupied, in Newark.

West Northfield Road

At 1:03 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, officers responded to a West Northfield Road home on a report of a stolen motor vehicle.

Officers arrived and met with the owner of the vehicle, who confirmed that a 2016 Chevorlet Corvette had been stolen from his driveway. The keys were reported to have been left in the vehicle.

The Livingston Detective Bureau is continuing to investigate all four incidents.
