Juneteenth Flag Raising

JUNETEENTH FLAG RAISING: Livingston celebrated Juneteenth with the raising of the Juneteenth flag on Wednesday, June 19. The flag raising was preceded by a screening of the documentary “Our America: Black Freedom” at the library. Shown here, Bridgette Ingraham-Roberts, Livingston resident and member of NAACP West Orange and Maplewood chapter, spoke about the disparities between Black and white Americans, specifically in Essex County. Below, prior to the raising of the flag, Amy Ipp introduced three representatives from the Livingston High School Black Student Union, Hunter Lee, Aryanna Lennon, and Adel Michael. ROC Photos
