After over a decade in different packs, Livingston Boy Scout Troop 12 member Zachary Melhorn recently earned the honor of Eagle Scout. He celebratedhis Eagle Court of Honor on May 11.
While Melhorn officially began his scout journey in 2012 as a Tiger Cub in Pack 59 of Livingston, he was around his brother, Jayson, and fellow scouts since he was old enough to walk. Melhom enjoyed hanging with his brother and the older scouts. His family helped him build a Pinewood Derby car to participate in the family races.
While in Cub Scouts, Melhom enjoyed the many activities the scouts participated in. His love for animals drew him to TurtleBackZoo as often as possible and he always loved the raingutter regatta. In 2015, Pack 59 folded and Melhom moved over to Cub Scout Pack 16 of Livingston. This is where Melhom met many new scouts and lifelong friends.
