The Essex County Summer Players Orchestra (ECSPO), working under the direction of conductor and musical director Nate White, is hosting its 23rd annual summer concert performance this Sunday, August 4, at 3 p.m. at Livingston High School. This free performance is called “Invitation to a Dance.”
Featuring dance, folk, and march music that inspired classical, romantic, and modern composers alike, performed works will include Tchaikovsky’s “Jurisprudence March” Delius’s “Dance Rhapsody No.2” Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No.6”, Arnold’s “English Dances Set 2”, Glazunov’s “Ballade”, and Respighi’s “Rossiniana Suite.”
Livingston Symphony Orchestra musicians featured in Sunday’s concert will include string players Isaac Rubins, Cindy Retotar, James Celestino and Alice Kayzerman. In the woodwind section will be Tamomi Takamoto, Chrysten Angderson, Alan Kiss, Christian Carillo, Bryn Douds, and Paul Erickson. Sam Mustacchi and David Sullivan will play trombones.
