Two vehicles were stolen last weekend after burglars broke into a home to steal the car keys, Livingston Police said.
At 7:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, ovcers responded to a North Rockledge Drive home on a report of two stolen vehicles.
Ovcers arrived and met with the homeowner, who said that they awoke that morning and discovered that two of their vehicles, a Mazda and In.niti, had been stolen. The Mazda had been parked in the drive- way and the In.nity had been parked in the garage.
Sometime in the overnight hours suspects had apparently entered an unlocked Honda in the driveway and used the garage door opener to open the garage. The suspects then entered the mudroom and stole the keys to the Mazda and In.niti, subsequently stealing both vehicles.
The vehicles were located a short time later in Newark and the Livingston Detective Bureau is investigat ing the matter.
