Last Sunday, hundreds of residents attended another successful IndiaFest event, which was held at the Oval. All through July, the town had a wonderful concert series, and this month, they are showing a movie at the Oval every Wednesday evening. Of course, earlier this summer we had two of the town’s biggest annual events – the Memorial Day Parade and the Fourth of July celebration – as well as another successful Summerfest. But while summer is winding down, there is plenty more to look forward to in the fall. The Livingston Police Department will be debuting what they hope will become a new tradition, an annual Community Block Party on Sunday afternoon, September 29. And coinciding with Fire Prevention Week (October 6 through 12), the Livingston Fire Department will hold its annual open house, which is always a fun event for children to attend. Of course, we could also fill the page with all of the athletic, entertainment, and academic events that come with the start of the school year. There is so much going on in Livingston every week, and a great deal of it is free of charge for residents. We are so very lucky to live in a community this active and diverse. Let us all make sure to take advantage of it as these fun, interesting, and educational events continue through the end of summer and into fall.
