As we are firmly in the “dog days” of summer, with school still out, fewer meetings, and many in town still on vacation, it is a great time for us at the Tribune to “build up” our cache of feature stories to run in the coming months. As regular readers know, we have a variety of features that we publish, including “Rescue Me,” in which we learn about pets that residents have adopted; “Called to Duty,” which features interviews with our local veterans about their service; and “Meet Your Neighbor,” which is exactly what it sounds like, an opportunity to get to learn about the interesting lives, careers, and hobbies of Livingston residents. If an individual or a group here in town has done something unusual, creative, unique, or generous, we are here to spotlight it. There are so many wonderful stories – and people – worth highlighting, and we are eager to do so. These are just some of our most popular ongoing series, and we rely heavily on reader submissions to put us in contact with subjects to feature in them. If anyone has a suggestion (they may suggest themselves, or someone they know), please reach out to the Tribune and let us know by emailing westessextribune@ gmail.com or calling 973-992-1771. We would love to hear from you and share your stories with the community.
