Livingston Police detectives have responded to several incidents in recent weeks related to suspects lighting fireworks and causing damage in the yards of residential properties in town, which do not belong to the suspects.
The most recent incident occurred at 9:18 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, when police officers responded to a Park Drive residence on a report of criminal damage.
Officers arrived and met with the homeowner, who stated that his video surveillance had captured two suspects approaching his residence, lighting a firework sparkler, kicking his home, and running away. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
There have been two other instances of fireworks being lit on residential property in the last couple of weeks. One incident occurred on Kimball Avenue and the other was on Rainbow Ridge Drive. It is unknown as of press time if the incidents are related, police said.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating all three incidents.
