The Livingston-based Sanskriti of New Jersey, along with the support from the Township of Livingston, celebrated the grand opening of Cricket Batting Cages on Saturday, November 30.
The grand opening with ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by many cricket lovers along with Livingston mayor Al Anthony, deputy mayor Edward Meinhardt, Council members Ketan Bhuptani, Shawn Klein, Michael Vieira, and Livingston Recreation program supervisor Ron Barbella. It was also attended by Sanskriti Executive Board members, including president Nilesh Mhatre, president-elect Anurag Rochlani, Board member Neeta Juvekar, Sirsij Peshin, and Nilesh Shah. Also present were Men’s Cricket executive members Chanchal Kala, Mayur Matai, and Adnan Rangila, and Women’s Cricket executive members Khyati Chhadwa-Shah, and Gaytri Peshin.
The new batting cages have been built at Northland Basin ground next to the Sanskriti Cricket Field. “The Batting Cages are a dream of many and will provide a tremendous opportunity for cricket-playing adults and kids to improve their game,” said Nilesh Shah. “This is the biggest investment so far in the game of cricket from the Township of Livingston, thanks to the support from all Council members, DPW, and Sanskriti of New Jersey.”
