WHITEY DUKIET HOLIDAY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: The Livingston Lancers hosted the Whitey Dukiet All American Boys’ Holiday Basketball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, December 27 and 28. The tournament included three divisions: freshmen; junior varsity; and varsity. In the freshman game, the Ridge High School Red Devils defeated Madison, 62-22, to capture the championship. Livingston was defeated by Morris Knolls, 39-32, in the consolation game. In the junior varsity game, Ridge defeated Livingston, 44-41, to win the championship. The Morris Knolls Golden Eagles won the consolation game with a 45-36 victory over the Orange Tornadoes. The varsity Lancers were defeated, 66-37, by Ridge High School in the championship game of the tournament. The Lancers defeated Pingry, 57-41, in first round tournament action. Pingry beat Morris Knolls, 67-64, in the consolation game.
