A theft was reported at the automated teller machine at Wells Fargo bank last week, the latest in a string of similar thefts in the community, according to a Livingston Police Department representative.
At about 10:02 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, the Livingston Police Department received a report that a theft had occurred at the Wells Fargo bank located at 313 West Mt. Pleasant Avenue.
The victim stated that while using the drive-up ATM machine, the suspect, described as a slender Black (Continued on Page A-6) female in her late 20s, approached the ATM and grabbed the money from her. The proceeds of the theft were $100 in cash.
The suspect fled the scene in a light colored SUV and appears to be the same suspect in prior ATM thefts within the township over the last couple of months.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the matter.
