The Livingston High School varsity hockey team defeated Glen Rock, 2-1, in the quarterfinals of the Mclnnis Cup played at Codey Arena on Wednesday, February 5.
Livingston goals were scored by Ryan Lelia, assisted by David Weinrib and Daniel Furman at 4:50 of the second period, and Anthony Cassese assisted by Dylan Gibbs at 11:01 in the third period. Lancer goalie Brody Teitelbaum made 13 saves while Glen Rock goalie Aidan Alvino stopped 52 Lancer shots on goal.
The Lancers next defeated Governor Livingston in Cup play, 3-0, on Friday, February 7. Lancer goals were scored by Anthony Cassese, assisted by Matt Zocks, at 2:51 in the second period. Livingston third period goals were scored by Dylan Gibbs, assisted by Matt Zocks at 14:20, and Ben Diamond assisted by Anthony Cassese at 10:20. Livingston goalie Brody Teitelbaum made 17 saves while Governor Livingston goalie S cott C apen stopped 5 0 Lancer shots. The Lancer record stands at 16-2-3.
