A West Orange woman is facing shoplifting charges for an incident that occurred at a pharmacy in town last week, according to Livingston Police.
At 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 184 South Livingston Avenue on a report of shoplifting in progress.
Officers arrived and spoke to a CVS employee, who said that a light skinned black woman with red hair had concealed store merchandise and exited the store. The suspect had entered a white Lexus and fled the scene.
Officers located the suspect’s vehicle at the intersection of West C edar Street and South Livingston Avenue. Amotor vehicle stop was conducted and the passenger matched the description of the suspect, later identified as Aliena Fowler-Sabbatino, 19, of West Orange.
Fowler-Sabbatino was arrestedfor allegedly shoplifting approximately $70 worth of store merchandise. She was transported to headquarters for processing, where she was charged with shoplifting and was released on a summons with a returnable court date at the Livingston Municipal Courthouse.
