An East Orange man has been arrested in connection with a string of ATM thefts that have occurred in recent months.
The Livingston Detective Bureau has identifiedTayvon Hammond, 30, of East Orange, as the actor in a spree of ATM thefts that occurred over the past couple of months.
The incidents occurred at two banks in Livingston, Bank of America on South LivingstonAvenue and Wells Fargo bank on West Mt.
Pleasant Avenue.
In total, Hammond is being charged with four counts of theft, four counts of receiving stolen property, for being in possession of two separate stolen motor vehicles while committing the thefts, and two counts of simple assault.
Hammond’s charges were placed on a warrant with a returnable court date at the Essex County courthouse. He is currently detained at the Essex County Correctional Facility.
