Isabelle Gao Wins Bronze Medal In Junior World Championship
Currently in her tenth year of synchronized skating, Isabelle Gao, above, won a bronze medal in the International Skating Union Synchronized Skating Junior World Championship.

Livingston High School senior Isabelle Gao is a member of Skyliners Junior who represented Team USA in the 2025 International Skating Union (ISU) Synchronized Skating Junior World Championship. Gao’s team won the bronze medal at the event, which was held in Gothenberg, Sweden on March 7 and 8.

The Synchronized Junior Worlds was attended by 24 teams worldwide, representing 19 countries. On the first day of the championship, the Skyliners ranked second, with their “Nessum Dorma” themed short program earning them a score of 73.51. On day two, they performed their Interstellar Northern Light themed free skate, earning a score of 127.76, placing third. With a combined score of 201.27, the Skyliners clinched the bronze medal for the United States of America.

“As the final skate of our season, we wanted to showcase our best performance,” Gao said. “We really brought the energy, and I think we put out some strong elements.”

Previously in the United States Figure Skating (USFS) Synchronized Skating National Championship in Colorado Springs from February 26 through March 1, the Skyliners Junior took home the silver medal and qualified as one of the two teams USA to attend the Junior Worlds.

2024-25 is Gao’s tenth season in synchronized skating; her seventh season with Skyliners; and her second year representing Team USA in the junior team. The Junior Worlds bronze medal ends her high school and synchronized skating career on a high note.
