A Note From the Publisher

As we are sure you are aware if you are reading this paper, there have been changes to the layout, typeface, and font size of the West Essex Tribune in recent weeks. This is because, as we have transitioned into a nonprofit under new ownership, the papers are now published on a different printing press. This new printer publishes its paper in different dimensions than what readers of the Tribune are used to seeing. We have changed printers in the past, but the changes at those times were nearly imperceptible – these ones, however, are much more noticeable.

While we know that these changes may take some getting used to (that is certainly the case for us at the Trib!), we are confident that, in time, we will all adjust. Most importantly, the content of the paper will remain the same.

On a related note, some readers received last week’s edition with substantial ink stains clouding certain pages. This is unacceptable, and we have had discussions with the printer to ensure it will not be an ongoing issue. It was certainly not the first impression we (or the new printer, for that matter), wanted to make on our readers!

Thank you, as always, for reading the Tribune through these ongoing changes. It is because of the switch to non-profit status, and the changes involved with that switch, that we are able to continue to deliver Livingston its weekly news in these challenging times.
