A winter snow storm hit Livingston on Monday evening, February 27, and continued through the night and into Tuesday morning. This was the first major snowfall of the 20222023 winter season.
Livingston accumulated only 2.5 inches, according to Dennis Britt, superintendent of the town’s Department of Public Works (DPW). Britt added that the DPW had salted roads on Monday evening at 6 p.m. and began plowing the accumulating snow at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Livingston Library and Livingston Public Schools both announced Tuesday closures. After school activities and Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting were also canceled.
Roads were cleared by Tuesday morning with no traffic accidents or issues reported, police officials said.
