Town Hall was a sea of green on Monday, March 13, as the Township Council honored the late Eric Rosenson, past-president of the Livingston Junior Lancer Lacrosse program. Rosenson died in December of 2022. Town Hall was filled with members of the Livingston Lacrosse community, who attended the start of the evening’s Council meeting to see Rosenson be recognized.

“Eric was always there for our kids,” said Council member Rosy Bagolie, whose children were coached by Rosenson. “It is our honor to honor him and his services tonight.”

Rosenson’s daughter, Jennifer addressed the crowd. “On behalf of our whole family we truly appreciate you honoring him,” she said.

Livingston Junior Lacrosse board member Phillip Ende also spoke on behalf of Rosenson’s former players and parents. He noted that everyone in attendance did not get the opportunity to thank Rosenson for all he did for them before he died.

“He was our guiding light, our north star, and one of our founding fathers,” Ende said. “His loss to our program is an enormous hole… it will take all of us to fill his shoes.”

Donations that were made in the wake of Rosenson’s death will go toward scholarships in his name, two each year for seniors on the boys’ and girl’s high school lacrosse teams.

Lacrosse season begins this week, and the players stated that the season will be played in Rosenson’s honor.

The Council also issued a proclamation for Rosenson, declaring March 13, 2023 as Eric Rosenson Day in Livingston.
