Tickets Available for “Uncle Floyd Live”

Tickets Available for “Uncle Floyd Live”

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, the sanctuary at the Presbyterian Church of Livingston on West Northfield Road will become The “PCL Performing Arts Center” for a stand-up comedy and piano performance show starring New Jersey’s Uncle Floyd Vivino.
“Uncle Floyd Live” is the first fundraising initiative for Livingston Philanthropies (LPI), produced with partner the West Essex Tribune.
“I’m hopeful, and also confident that philanthropic Livingston neighbors will buy tickets to support our continued purchase of fresh produce, fruit, diapers, diapering-kit items, toiletries, clothing, baby bottles and more,” Friedman said.
Uncle Floyd’s live show combines his special brand of stand-up comedy with a piano performance on PCL’s beautiful baby-grand piano.
“Uncle Floyd has been stuck in show-biz history since he was a kid, so he’ll play the tunes familiar to many Livingston residents. And, as our guests will learn, he is a piano virtuoso,” Friedman said.
David Bowie has called Uncle Floyd “the best ‘barrelhouse’ piano player in the country.” In 2002, David Bowie released a song on his “Toy” album titled “Slip Away,” in which he pays tribute to New Jersey’s Uncle Floyd Vivino.
“Please support LPI’s mission of ‘providing for the homeless, profoundly poor, and disenfranchised’ by purchasing tickets at njhomeless.org, in-person with cash or check at the West Essex Tribune, located on South Livingston Avenue next to ShopRite or at the Presbyterian Church of Livingston,” Friedman said. “Donations are $40 for an extremely entertaining Saturday evening right here in town.”
