Livingston Philanthropies, Inc. (LPI), partnering with the West Essex Tribune and Pastor Dan Martian, is thrilled to present our first live show right here in town. It’s a fundraising event to help support LPI’s mission of “providing for the homeless, profoundly poor and disenfranchised.”
I’m reaching out to our Livingston neighbors to continue their support for helping not only the homeless, but for so many families living below the poverty line.
“Uncle Floyd Live!” is on Saturday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m., which is when the Presbyterian Church of Livingston (PCL) becomes the PCL Performing Arts Center to host Uncle Floyd Vivino’s high-energy stand-up comedy and piano performance show. Proceeds go directly to Livingston Philanthropies to purchase fresh produce, fruit, toiletries, baby bottles, diapers, shoes and more for those who need it the most.
For those who enjoy the old songs between the 1920s and the 1950s, Uncle Floyd, widely respected as a piano virtuoso, will play them all on PCL’s really cool, vintage baby grand piano. The tunes will come fast, as will Floyd’s very special brand of stand-up comedy. We don’t call Uncle Floyd Vivino “the ambassador of happiness” for no reason.
To support LPI and also enjoy a Saturday evening with lots of laughs in Livingston, tickets are available for a $40 donation at njhomeless.org, the West Essex Tribune office on South Livingston Avenue next to ShopRite or at the church office at 271 West Northfield Road in Livingston. LPI is an affiliate of HC/HY of Livingston.

(LPI) is asking Livingston residents to support LPI’s upcoming live show fundraiser featuring New Jersey’s own Uncle Floyd.  LPI founder and show producer Jeff Friedman discusses show details with Floyd during lunch at Newark’s iconic North Ward restaurant, Luigi’s. Tickets for Saturday evening, April 15, are available for a $40 donation at njhomeless.org.
