Dear Editor: The Korean War was fought between North Korea and South Korea from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953. The war began when North Korea invaded South Korea following clashes along the border and rebellions in South Korea.

Graduation Speeches

Dear Editor: Introduced by Vineeta Khanna, Board of Education president, the Township Council enabled Kathleen Zhang, Livingston High School salutatorian, the opportunity to give the speech she should otherwise have given at high school graduation.

An article in the June 30 edition of the Tribune incorrectly noted that Judith Friedman taught English in Newark. She worked for the Essex County Educational Services Commission and the Massachusetts Public Schools during her career.

Dear Editor: On the Fourth of July, do something patriotic. Take your family to hear the public reading of the Declaration of Independence, a Livingston tradition since 2000.

Dear Editor: There are lots of ways to show support for a cause or an individual, from the anonymous to the well-know, donations, volunteering, signs on the front lawn, informally spreading the word, thoughts and prayers, handing out leaflets, the list goes on.

Dear Editor: I am writing to comment on an article you wrote concerning the new handicapped accessible walkway near the gazebo.

Dear Editor: Our son was confined to a 450-pound power wheelchair before he died from ALS in October 2021. We had headed a number of times from our house on Larkspur Place to the corners of Northfield Road and South Livingston Avenue for either a haircut or a visit to the Livingston Deli before he was too sick.

Dear Editor: A Livingston resident called me this week to report how he was scammed by someone pretending to be from Microsoft; texting him and stating his computer was hacked, loaded with malware and needed to be repaired.All that was required was granting entry to his computer and a few minutes to correct it to avoid any contamination.
