Born on June 6, 1946, in the Bronx, NY, Steven spent his formative years in New Rochelle, NY. On November 19, 1972, he married the love of his life, Meryl Delman, and their union was a source of strength and inspiration until her untimely passing in 2016. They moved to Livingston in 1977.
Asuccessful businessman, Steven contributed his talents to the family business, Splendorform Brassiere Company, where he worked in sales. Beyond his professional life, Steven was widely recognized for his tireless commitment to volunteer work. In the 1970s and 80s, he made significant contributions through the UJA Federation, particularly with Project Renewal missions aimed at revitalizing impoverished neighborhoods in Israel.
In Livingston, NJ, Steven became an integral part of the community. His impact was most profound during his over 40 years of service on the Board of the Livingston Soccer Club.As a coach, he touched the lives of thousands of children, imparting valuable lessons both on and off the field. His dedication extended to Friendship Circle, where he played a crucial role in developing the soccer circle, ensuring that the joy of soccer was accessible to special needs children.
Steven’s involvement in Temple B’nai Abraham was extensive, as he served in the Men’s Club and on the Board for decades. He continued to contribute to the community through his participation in the Unity Club, assistance with Meals on Wheels, and as a dedicated volunteer kindergarten reader.
Steven Delman’s passion for community service and his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others will be remembered fondly. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all.
