Donna J. Del Vecchio

Donna J. Del Vecchio (née Mulvihill) 63, of Livingston, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 12, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Raphael Church, 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. The family received their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. PleasantAvenue, Livingston, New Jersey, on Sunday August 18, 2024.

Born in Orange, New Jersey, Donna was raised in West Orange and has resided in Livingston for 39 years. Donna was a doctor of physical therapy, specializing in women’s health. She started her studies as a physical therapist assistant in 1982 and received her physical therapist degree in 1991 at UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey. In 2003, Donna became a doctor of physical therapy. In 2011, Donna attained ABPTS board certification as a clinical specialist in women’s health.

She was the pioneer for pelvic floor rehab and Women’s Health for Atlantic Health. She built a tremendous practice that started with one woman at one site. This program now spans over eight sites, 27 therapists, and over 431 hours of pelvic health services offered per week.

She was an active member of APTANJ since 1981 and received the Physical Therapy Interest Award in Women’s Health in 2018. Donna was a wonderful mentor to many clinicians who entered the field as well as those who were just entering the field of pelvic health. She practiced at Atlantic Health System for over 40 years.

Donna will be remembered for her enormous heart, generosity, and love of spending time with family and friends. She also loved the Jersey Shore, Marco Island, Florida, and all things Bruce Springsteen.

Donna was the beloved wife for 39 years to Guy Del Vecchio; devoted daughter of Julia and the late Donald Mulvihill; dear sister of Lisa Mulvihill, Christine (Nelson) Cantor, Donald Mulvihill Jr., and Katherine (Mike) Mulvihill; loving aunt of Joseph, Jonathan, Angela, Zachary, Samantha, James,Anthony, Carlee, Jenna and Bella, as well as several great nieces and nephew; and sister-in-law of Joseph and Gaylynn Del Vecchio.
