After earning a master’s degree from Columbia University, Mr. Beck served in the Navy. He married Sue (Keil) Beck in 1958, and the couple raised their family in Livingston until moving to Monmouth Beach in 2022.

Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Sue (Keil) Beck; his brother, George; his daughter, Ellen Beck; his son, Kenneth Beck; and a grandson.

BernheimApter Kreitzman handled the funeral arrangements. The service was held on Wednesday, August 21, at the Lehman Chapel in the B’nai Jeshurun Cemetery in Elizabeth. Burial followed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the University of Vermont scholarship fund or to Clean Ocean Action.
