Robert Arata Dies In Livingston Home
He and his wife, Genevieve, raised their sons in Nutley before moving to Livingston, where Mr. Arata volunteered with his sons’ sports activities and Boy Scout troop.
He worked for Anheuser-Busch for most of his career before retiring in 2000. Following his retirement, he opened up a small transportation business driving clients to various destinations.
Surviving Mr. Arata are his wife, Genevieve; his sons, Robert, Frank (Laura), Michael, David, and Ken (Laura); his sister, Helen (John); his brother-in-law, Johnny; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, September 16, at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. A funeral Mass was offered Tuesday, September 17, at Saint Philomena Roman Catholic Church, Livingston. Entombment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Hanover.
The Force Home has been a community historical center and museum since 1962, and is operated by the Livingston Historical Society.
