Born in Newark, Mrs. Hyde was the daughter of Max and Rose Belfer. She attended Weequahic High School and worked in the medical field for her entire career.

She was married to Gordon Hyde for 49 years. She lived for many years in Irvington and Livingston, before moving to Boynton Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Hyde is survived by her son, Howard; and her brother, Louis Belfer. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Tobias. Donations in Barbara Hyde’s name can be made to Hadassah or the charity of the reader’s choice.
