Mrs. Neilan Dies at 81

Carmel Catherine Neilan died at 81 on September 29. She was born in County Leitrim, Ireland in 1943 and immigrated to the United States at the age of 17.

She married her husband, Martin, in 1968, and settled in Livingston.

Mrs. Neilan is survived by her husband, Martin; six children: Eileen Neilan-Snee, Cathy McCormack, Martin Neilan, Linda Dus, Marie Morton, and Tracy Neilan; and three brothers six siblings, Daniel Gormley, Patrick Gormley, Thomas Gormley, Theresa Sheehan, Margaret Carey, and Sylvia Cherry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 4, at 11:30 a.m. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Neilan’s name may be made to Missionaries of Charity, 168 Sussex Avenue, Newark, NJ 07103.
